Torbay Towns

Meadowside Holiday Apartments are ideally situated to explore the whole of the English Riviera

BRIXHAM

This bustling fishing port on the opposite side of the bay to Torquay, is a great place to spend a day taking in the sights and sounds and visiting the numerous shops, cafes, and bars.

A lovely way to get to Brixham is via the Torquay to Brixham Ferry. This delightful 30-minute journey across Torbay leaves from Torquay harbour at regular intervals.

PAIGNTON

The seaside town of Paignton lies between Torquay and Brixham. There are three lovely beaches – Preston Sands, Paignton Sands and Goodrington Sands.

Paignton has the look and feel of a traditional English Seaside town, with its Pier, beach huts, pubs and entertainment. Be sure to check out the quaint fishing harbour and enjoy a drink or meal at one of the bars overlooking it.

Paignton Zoo is also a great day out whilst in the area.

BABBACOMBE

Just to the north of Torquay lies Babbacombe. Enjoy a cliff top stroll along Babbacombe Downs and a trip on the cliff railway to lovely sheltered Oddicombe Beach. Babbacombe is home to the famous Kents Cavern, and you don’t have to have children to enjoy the Babbacombe Model Village and Gardens

COCKINGTON VILLAGE

Cockington Village and Country Park lies about 1.5 miles from Meadowside. The beautiful park and chocolate box village make a great day out. There are craft shops, tea rooms and a lovely pub to enjoy.
