Torre Abbey historic house has recently undergone a major restoration programme and is within easy walking distance.
At the Riviera Centre, a large indoor leisure pool, complete with waves and flume slide, means that you can still get your swimsuit wet.
For the children there is the Play Cafe, a large indoor play centre with a licensed café for the parents and the Dinosaur World exciting indoor exhibition.
A little further afield is the National Marine Aquarium in Plymouth’s historic Barbican harbour side area.
Not only limited to rainy days shopping is a holiday essential and the English Riviera is packed with independent stores and high street chains.
Torquay town centre has the Fleet Walk Shopping Centre with a host of shopping and leisure outlets.
Brixham;s Fore Street and Harbourside have a wealth of unique local arts and craft shops full of artisan gifts, art pieces and craftsman produced jewellery items perfect for that holiday souvenir or gift for you to take home..
